Lakeland Summer Camp
Children with an FASD diagnosis, ages 8-17 are able to participate in a one week overnight summer camp in the Cold Lake area. These camps are specifically designed and highly supervised to ensure children have a positive experience. Campers participate in a number of activities such as swimming, hiking, crafts, local field trips, horse back riding, geography, animal tracking, games, etc.

Diagnostic and Assessment for Children and Adults
The LCFASD coordinates a multidisciplinary FASD Diagnostic and Assessment Team for children and adults in the service area. This team is mobile and travel throughout the Lakeland area. The children’s team meets twice per month, the adult team meets once per month.
Referrals can be made by calling the Centre and discussing you situation in confidence
The LCFASD has a minimal waiting time once it has received all the necessary documentation.

Mothers-to-be Mentorship
Mentors work, intensively in an outreach capacity with women who are struggling with substance use while pregnant or post delivery. This is an long term program that assists women in a non judgemental manner to get their lives back on track.
Referrals or questions can be directed to the LCFASD office and ask to speak to a mentor

Training & Presentations
The LCFASD Provides specifically designed training or presentations for all groups, for example professionals, Para-professionals, parent groups, self-help groups, college students, and high school students etc.
The LCFASD has specialized in community development training for rural communities beginning FASD services.
Annually, FASD Diagnostic and Assessment Team Training is provided by the Lakeland Diagnostic Team in Cold Lake, AB. This is a 3 days of training that involves observation of a live clinic.
