Hello! My name is Lisa Starosielski and I am new to the Mothers to be Mentor program with Lakeland Centre for FASD working out of the St Paul office. Six years ago, I started working as an educational assistant, working with adolescents providing them with support to make the educational experience easier for them. With this, I decided to head back to school myself and I recently graduated with my Social Work Diploma at Blue Quills University. Starting my new position with LCFASD I am learning a lot about my community, and I am looking forward to becoming a larger part in helping those who need it.
I am a mother myself to an 8-year-old boy and planning a wedding with my fiancé. This past year we bought an acreage and accumulated two dogs and two cats which we adore! In the summertime I enjoy fishing and playing slow pitch, and, in the winter, I love snowmobiling. My favorite places to visit are Saskatchewan and B.C. We try to go there as much as possible on our days off.
The Lakeland Centre for FASD provides cost-free programs and services in the Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul and Lac la Biche areas, as well as on First Nations and Métis Settlements through Alberta.
