Hi! My name is Treena, I am a new addition to LCFASD and I’m so happy to be working with the Outreach Team. As an Outreach Support Worker, I assist caregivers, schools, and all other service providers in clients lives to establish appropriate supports and help clients be successful. I serve the entire Lakeland region and work out of the Bonnyville FASD office.
I am a recent graduate from the Portage College Community Social Work Program and am currently enrolled in year three of the Social Work Virtual Learning Circle Program at the University of Calgary. I will be graduating in the spring of 2023 with a Degree in Social Work. Prior to working at LCFASD I was Administrative Support at a health office in Bonnyville for 9 years. Once my children finished their post-secondary educations, I decided to pursue my dream to become a social worker and my passion to work one-on-one with clients.
When I am not at work, you can find me in the kitchen baking cookies and cakes for family and friends or in front of the fireplace working on my newest crochet or sewing project. If I’m not there, I am spending time with my husband as we watch children’s journeys as they adult!
The Lakeland Centre for FASD provides cost-free programs and services in the Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul and Lac la Biche areas, as well as on First Nations and Métis Settlements through Alberta.
