Thank-You!

May 7, 2018 | In:

A big thank-you to Jonathan Cater’s parents, Cecilia and Ken, for their yearly donation towards the Lakeland Centre for FASD Scholarship in their son’s name.

Jonathon attended Lakeland Summer Camp in 2008 and he passed away suddenly in 2010. In honour of his memory, the Lakeland Centre for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder established a scholarship that will sponsor one camper each summer to attend camp.

Jonathon had unique challenges as he was diagnosed with Tourette’s syndrome as well as FASD. In spite of these obstacles, he was a caring individual with a great sense of humour. While he is deeply missed, the memories of Cater bring a smile and there is comfort in the knowledge that someone will be able to attend the camp he loved each year through this scholarship.
