July is fast approaching and that means camp is too. The Lakeland Centre for FASD runs 6 week-long camps in July and August for children ages 7-17.
Each week is packed full of activities. Our Stepping Stone Lodge is located at French Bay Provincial Park outside of Cold Lake, AB where we do a variety of activities such as crafts, kayaking, baking, games, drumming, and swimming.
We also take field trips throughout the week. We go to the humane society to enjoy some time snuggling with cats and walking dogs. At the air base we go on exciting tours and we go to Penner Ranch where we get to paint on some friendly horses. Each week we go to Cold Lake Provincial Park to play some fun games and activities with Alberta Parks. We also do other activities throughout the summer depending on the group!
If you know someone who might like to attend feel free to call the centre at 780-594-9905 with any questions or to have us send you a camp application. You can also find the application online at www.LCFASD.com/summer-camp.
