About our Staff-Aimie
March 15, 2024 | In: Staff
Hello everyone! My name is Aimie, I have recently joined the Lakeland Centre for FASD Outreach team! I started my journey many years ago with LCFASD as a camp counsellor for two summers in my University years, and did my Practicum as a Children’s Coordinator. Now all these years later, I am working as a Children’s Outreach Coordinator in the community of Bonnyville and surrounding areas.
I graduated from Mount Royal University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Studies and three certificates in Children’s Mental Health, Child & Youth Human Rights & Addiction Studies. Lifelong learning is something I am passionate about and will continue to pursue. I have since always worked with children, youth and families. Most of my career has been in Bonnyville, Cold Lake and a few years spent in Calgary.
I was born and raised in Bonnyville and have always found my way back, even when I moved away for a while. In my free time I enjoy travelling, having volunteered, and lived in Uganda and Ghana, and travelling to tropical locations such as Costa Rica last spring! I enjoy being with family and friends, campfires, yoga, reading and cuddling my two cats Frankie and Phoebe!
