Meet Keirstin, one of our Mothers-to-be Mentors!
Since joining our team in May 2025, Keirstin has been supporting pregnant and newly postpartum women who have experienced substance use, helping them move towards a healthier lifestyle for them and their babies. In her role, Keirstin helps her clients identify personal goals, enhance parenting skills/techniques, connect them with other community supports, attend appointments to advocate for them, and much more.
Raised in the Lakeland Area, Keirstin brings a deep understanding of our community into her work, such as its strengths, resources, and barriers. As a mother of 4 children ranging from elementary school to nearly graduating, Keirstin understands the realities of parenting at every stage.
Helping those who struggle with substance use is a passion of Keirstin’s, and she strives to make a meaningful difference in her clients lives every day.
ABOUT LCFASD
The Lakeland Centre for FASD provides cost-free programs and services in the Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul and Lac la Biche areas, as well as on First Nations and Métis Settlements through Alberta.
