Darlene Desrochers – Employment Coordinator

Hi I’m Darlene Desrochers and I am the new Employment Coordinator for Cold Lake and Bonnyville area. Some may recognize me, as I was working upstairs at the Second Floor for five years, before moving to British Columbia. I was in BC for approximately 3.5 years. While there, I worked at the local women’s shelter as a Stop the Violence Counselor, and I also worked at Kootenay Employment Services as a Senior Employment Counsellor. I have many years of experience working in the field of addictions, employment and working in shelters.
A little about me is that I am a mother of two grown children. One who lives here in Cold Lake and the other has returned to Ontario. During my free time, I like to craft, knit, cook, bake and watch my grand pups. Family is very important to me and I enjoy spending time with them, if it’s watching them play sports, playing cards, or just relaxing with them.

The Lakeland Centre for FASD provides cost-free programs and services in the Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul and Lac la Biche areas, as well as on First Nations and Métis Settlements through Alberta.
