About our Staff-Katie

February 27, 2024 | In:

My name is Katie and I am the Transition Coordinator at the LCFASD.

I started this role in May of 2023. The Transition Program involves working one-on-one with youth aged 15-24 and their caregivers to help them to start thinking about the youth’s future and identify the areas they may need extra support. With the help of the youth and their supports, I develop a transition plan to help guide the youth through their transition to adulthood. I have found that I really enjoy working with adolescents and helping them feel more confident going into adulthood.

On a personal note, I am originally from British Columbia and have been living in Cold Lake for 21 years. I graduated from Grant MacEwan University in 2021 with a Bachelor of Sociology. I love animals and have two kitties of my own. I also love coffee, reading, and travelling.
