About our Staff- Maddy

February 20, 2024 | In:

Hello! My name is Madison Gagnier, but I usually go by Maddy! I am a Post Diagnostic Outreach Coordinator working out of the Cold Lake office. My role primarily consists of supporting adults who have a diagnosis of FASD.

I have been working with LCFASD for about 8 months now, following my experience as camp leader at the LCFASD summer camp in 2022. I began this role in June of 2023 after completing my Community Social Work Diploma through Portage College. I have since become registered through the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW).

My passion for supporting individuals with FASD began through my experience at the LCFASD summer camp. From there, I knew instantly that this was the work I was meant to do. I value supporting my clients through a non-judgmental and strengths-based approach, incorporating trauma-informed practices when working collaboratively with my clients and other stakeholders. Creating unique and authentic relationships with my clients where they can feel empowered to make meaningful change in their life is my favorite part of my role here at LCFASD.

As an animal and reading enthusiast, I am usually cuddled up with my cat, Rumi, reading a good book in my free time. Born and raised in Cold Lake, I love spending quality time with my family and friends in the Lakeland area. When I am not in the office, I spend most of my time outdoors either camping or hiking!
