Meet Katelyn, one of our Mothers-to-be Mentors! Katelyn joined our team in 2024. In her role, Katelyn assists women who are pregnant or have recently given birth and have used alcohol or drugs during their pregnancy work towards a healthier lifestyle for them and their babies. Katelyn helps her clients identify personal goals, enhance parenting skills/techniques, address any housing needs, connect them with other community supports, attend appointments to advocate for them, and much more. Katelyn was born and raised in Bonnyville. She has completed her Social Work Diploma from Portage College and strives to one day get her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work. Outside of work, Katelyn loves to spend time with her fiancé and 3 cats, read a good book, and do some baking!
ABOUT LCFASD
The Lakeland Centre for FASD provides cost-free programs and services in the Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul and Lac la Biche areas, as well as on First Nations and Métis Settlements through Alberta.
