Sandy is a dedicated social work professional who graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Social Work from Ontario before relocating to Cold Lake. With over 7 years of experience at the 2nd Floor Women’s Recovery Centre, Sandy’s journey is a testament to her commitment and passion. She began as a frontline worker, providing essential support to women in the program for 4 years, before transitioning into a supervisory role, where she has been for the past 3 years. Sandy’s compassionate and empathetic leadership has been instrumental in fostering positive outcomes for both the women in recovery and her team. Her unwavering dedication to empowering others, combined with her deep understanding of the recovery process, has ensured that the 2nd Floor Women’s Recovery Centre remains a place of hope and transformation.

The Lakeland Centre for FASD provides cost-free programs and services in the Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul and Lac la Biche areas, as well as on First Nations and Métis Settlements through Alberta.
