Meet Our Staff- Stacy Mercier
December 17, 2024 | In: Uncategorized
Meet Stacy! Stacy has recently joined the Lakeland Centre for FASD as the Outreach Supervisor. After spending 28 years as an elementary teacher with Northern Light Public Schools, she felt the need for a change. Not yet ready to retire, Stacy decided to join LCFASD to expand her knowledge and personal growth, while being in a position to make a meaningful impact on many lives. Born and raised in the Lakeland area, Stacy attended the University of Alberta, where she earned a Bachelor of Education degree. She then returned to Bonnyville to begin her teaching career. A few years later, Stacy completed a Master of Arts in Leadership and Training from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC. Stacy has two grown children who are pursuing their own dreams, and she is adjusting to an empty nest. She values the unique fact that she, along with her husband and children, all graduated from the same high school in Bonnyville. In her spare time, Stacy enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading, and quilting. Stacy is excited to continue her career at LCFASD and looks forward to working with the dedicated team and the many learning opportunities ahead.
