Michele Huszar – Program Developer

January 22, 2020 | In:

Hello Lakeland community, my name is Michele Huszar and I am back working for the Lakeland Centre for FASD as Program Developer. I worked at the Lakeland Centre 6 years ago when I left to pursue a career in Complimentary Health. I am now back and looking forward to this position as I work part-time at the Lakeland Centre for FASD and part-time as a Natural Health Therapist.

My position as Program Developer consists of many streams as I thrive on working creatively through the development of new ideas. As Program Developer I am tasked with writing grants, fundraising initiatives, development of a social enterprise, managing Mocktails for special events, managing the Emergency Shelter Housing Program and building stakeholder relations. Creating new initiatives, meeting and networking with community supporters, working with a team or by myself creates the perfect balance for me to excel and provide my best work for the Lakeland Centre.

I have lived in Cold Lake for almost 12 years and my love for being out in nature in this Lakeland region allows me many opportunities to experience this area with my family and many friends. I have a passion for natural health which is why I also continue my studies to become a Master Herbalist using what grows around us to keep us healthy and whole. In my spare time my commitment to my community keeps me busy as I volunteer and support many organizations and not for profits close to my heart.  I look forward to working and living in this community making it a great place to call home.
